Many American adults don't feel that national news organizations care about the impact of their reporting. In a recent survey of more than 5,000 American adults from Gallup and the Knight Foundation, just 23% believed that most national news organizations care about “the best interests of their readers, viewers and listeners.” That’s pretty grim, especially knowing how much my colleagues and I really do care about you and everyone we serve.
Today, on Giving Tuesday (or #GivingNewsDay, as we like to call it), I want to make it clear that here at Four Points Media: we care, deeply. We care about you, our community of readers. We want you to trust our reporting, and we care about the impact we have on the Crow Reservation. These are the very reasons we exist.
If our mission to enrich the minds, spirits and lives of those in Indian Country by producing meaningful stories resonates with you, I ask you to consider donating what you can to help keep our trustworthy journalism thriving. We are hoping to attain 25 new donors by the end of the day. And, thanks to NewsMatch, all gifts up to $5,000 are being matched dollar for dollar.
Giving Tuesday is a movement that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. As an organization, we always aim to be generous of spirit, in service to you, our readers — and the greater good. Thank you for your generosity in return.
